A man was attacked by two muggers near the centre of Brighton. They stole his mobile phone.
The attack happened in Clifton Street Passage, off Dyke Road, at about 1am on Sunday 28 April.
The victim was walking home when the he was punched in the face. The blow knocked him to the ground.
The two men kept punching him while he was on the ground and left him with swelling to his right eye and cheek and bruising to his side.
The first suspect was described as a 6ft tall white man, aged 20 to 30 years old. He was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up.
The second suspect was described as a 5ft 8in tall white man, also aged 20 to 30 years old. He was wearing dark clothing and also had a dark hooded top with the hood up.
Detective Constable Dawn Robertson said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a man walking home.
“The victim has been left both shaken and distressed as a result.
“I would appeal to anyone in the area who may have witnessed this assault or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area to come forward.”
