A man who was reported missing in Telscombe Cliffs has been found in Saltdean within hours of police publicising his disappearance.
Sussex Police spoke at lunchtime yesterday (Sunday 16 June) about concerns for the welfare of 85-year-old Olav Schjerve, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. He went missing yesterday morning.
Yesterday evening the force said: “Police want to thank members of the public for their support in finding a man missing from Telscombe Cliffs.
“The man, who suffers from Alzheimers, was found walking in Saltdean by a member of the public at about 3.30pm Sunday afternoon. He has been returned home safe and well.”
