Hove man suffers broken jaw in night club attack
Two men were attacked outside a night club in Brighton at the weekend.
One of them, a 26-year-old man from Hove, suffered a broken jaw.
The men were assaulted at about 3am on Sunday (28 July) while standing in the queue for Life on the Lower Esplanade in Brighton.
Detective Constable Paul Ash, from Brighton and Hove CID, said: “We are trying to establish exactly what happened prior to the attack.
“There may have been some kind of verbal altercation involving a comment about one of the victim’s clothing.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the night club queue and has not yet spoken to officers to please get in touch.”
Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
