Two Brighton charities have won a national award for their positive impact on health and wellbeing.

Brighton and Hove-based Rise and Amaze were among ten charities to win a GSK IMPACT Award.

GSK IMPACT Awards are given for an outstanding contribution to improving health and wellbeing in the UK.

Each charity will receive a donation of £30,000 as well as two places on a training and development programme.

An overall winner will be picked from the ten winners at an awards ceremony on 15 May.

Amaze offers advice and support to parents and carers of children and young people with disabilities.

Rise, which stands for Refuge, Information, Support, Education, supports women, children and LGBT people affected by domestic abuse.
