A man was attacked in the street in Hove by one of two men before the pair sped off in a van.

Sussex Police said that the attack happened at about 7pm yesterday (Monday 24 March) in Hangleton.

The force said: “Police are concerned for the safety of a man who appeared to be the victim of an assault in Bramber Avenue, Hangleton.

“A witness reported to the police that he saw two white men standing beside a sign-written white car-derived van arguing with a third man.

“One of the two men was then seen to punch the third man who fell to the floor.

“The van then sped off and the victim has yet to be located.”

Inspector Richard Delacour said: “If you saw what happened or were the victim of the assault please contact police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk.”
