The rainbows are coming out in Brighton ahead of Pride tomorrow as the city prepares for a massive celebration.

The seafront has now been adorned with colourful flags:

And in St James’s Street, hoardings around Tesco have been painted in rainbow colours by volunteers.

2014-07-31 13.24.03One of them, LGBT activist Chris Cooke, said: “This has been a real community project with Tesco giving permission for us to decorate the hoardings around their store

“Local artists have volunteered their time for free and local businesses have donated money for the cost of paints etc –  a true community project. Thank you all.”

Famous faces have been lending messages of support over the past few days. Prime Minister David Cameron said: ” “I would like to send my congratulations to the organisers and volunteers for their efforts in co-ordinating Pride Brighton & Hove 2014 and wish everyone attending the very best for a happy and successful event.”

And here’s Labour leader Ed Miliband’s video message:

Lots of rumours going round Brighton that not only will Euro-Boy be at Pride, but ALSO the Panty Brats Gay Formation Dance Team!
