A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting two girls on buses in Brighton in separate incidents.
Sussex Police said: “A further two sexual assaults in the Newhaven area have since come to light.”
A 62-year-old man from Peacehaven has been arrested in relation to the Brighton incidents and has been bailed until Tuesday 23 September while investigations continue.
The force said that a man got on the number 2 bus in North Street, Brighton, on Monday 28 July, sat next to a 15-year-old girl and stroked her leg.
On Tuesday 29 July, a 12-year-old girl was travelling on the number 27 bus from Saltdean when a man sat next to her and touched her leg twice.
On the same day a 13-year-old girl was travelling on the number 12 bus from Peacehaven when a man sat next to her and stroked her leg.
And on Saturday 9 August, a 19-year-old woman was travelling towards Newhaven when a man has put his hand on her leg.
On all four occasions the young women have got off the bus to get away from the man who touched them and reported it to police.
