Man held after early morning knife attack off Brighton seafront
A man has been arrested after another man was stabbed in an attack close to Brighton seafront early this morning (Sunday 5 October).
A 33-year-old man, believed to be local, was arrested at the scene and taken to the cells in Hollingbury.
The attack, which happened in Charles Street at about 7.30am, left a 22-year-old Brighton man with serious injuries, according to Sussex Police.
The force did not name the victim but he was identified locally as Joshua Douglas.
He is believed to have suffered several knife wounds and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Kemp Town.
Sussex Police said: “Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or who can provide any further information about the incident.”
