Traffic was delayed and buses diverted after a car and a van crashed in Brighton city centre this morning.

The two vehicles crashed at the junction of North Road and Gloucester Place at about 7.15am.

Buses were unable to stop at the northbound St Peter’s bus stop as a result, although the southbound stop was open as normal.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Just after 7.15am on Wednesday (25 March) a car and a van collided in at the junction of North Road and the A23 Gloucester PLace, Brighton.

“The drivers are understood to have sustained minor injuries and the collision caused northbound traffic delays in Gloucester Place.”
