Brighton man’s eye socket and cheek broken in savage seafront attack
Police in Brighton are seeking witnesses to a violent seafront incident which left a man with facial fractures.
At about 5am on Monday there was an altercation between two men on the Lower Esplanade outside the Club Wahkiki.
One of the men, a 24-year old from Brighton, sustained fractured cheek bones and a fractured eye socket, for which he received treatment at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. He is due to be discharged today.
A 25-year old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, and was later released on police bail until 3 June while enquiries continue.
