Labour leader due to visit Hove sixth form college

The Labour leader Ed Miliband is expected to visit Brighton, Hove and Sussex VI Form College today (Monday 4 May).

He is due to be joined at BHASVIC by Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls who visited Morrisons supermarket in the marginal Brighton Kemptown constituency on his last visit.

BHASVIC, in Dyke Road, Hove, is just inside the Hove constituency, described as a bellwether seat by the Guardian recently.

It’s one of the most marginal seats in the country with Peter Kyle hoping to win it back from the Conservatives for Labour.

Yesterday Mr Miliband tweeted a video in support of Labour by the comedian, actor and writer Steve Coogan, who lives in Ovingdean.

Mr Miliband’s bank holiday visit to Brighton and Hove comes two days after he unveiled his pledges carved in stone in Hastings where the party’s candidate is Sarah Owen.

She used to be the political assistant to the opposition Labour group on Brighton and Hove City Council.

Also joining the party’s campaign in Hastings was Sussex University student Solomon Curtis, who comes from the town and is standing in the Sussex seat of Wealden.

Milliband, like Cameron, failed, no, refused to tell the electorate what he intends to do on May 8th.

What a strange comment from an official green party supporter!

So what will Natalie Bennett be doing if she doesn’t win her seat in Holborn and St. Pancras on May 8th?

And what will Caroline Lucas be doing on May 8th if she is still the only green party MP in the country?

And more importantly, what will you be doing if the greens are no longer the largest party on the Brighton & Hove City Council?

Was impressed that Ed Miliband came to Brighton and Hove today.

Labour have a create chance to change the course the country is on. They have a real vision for a fairer society. Within the first 100 days after the election, if we return a Labour Government, we’ll see the end of the bedroom tax and the privatising health and social care bill repealed.

Labour have a plan and one that works and is affordable. The country needs this change and all we need to do to get it is to vote Labour.

A vote for the Greens is a wasted vote, even in Pavilion. We need to work together to return a strong opposition to the Conservatives and that means a vote for Purna Sen, Peter Kyle or Nancy Platts to return three strong Labour MPs from our city.

Any thing else is handing the Tories the power to keep going with their damaging and hurtful agenda.
