A boy was flown to hospital in London after being knocked over by a bus in Brighton at the weekend.
The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was called shortly before 5.15pm. It landed near the scene of the accident 23 minutes later and took 30 minutes to fly the boy to St George’s Hospital, in Tooting, south west London.
Sussex Police said: “We were called at 5.15pm on Saturday (2 May) after a 13-year-old boy was hit by a bus in New England Road, Brighton.
“The boy, from Brighton, was struck by a bus travelling south west close to the junction with Old Shoreham Road.
“He suffered serious but not life-threatening head injuries and was taken to St George’s Hospital in London.”
