Man taken to hospital with head injury after bus accident
A man in his 50s has been taken to hospital with a head injury this afternoon after reports a pedestrian was hit by a Brighton bus.
South East Coast Ambulance Service was called shortly after 3pm today to reports a man had been hit by a bus by St Peter’s Church.
A spokesman said: “Ambulance crews in an ambulance and a car attended the scene. A man, aged approximately in his 50s, was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital with injuries including a head injury.”
The accident, which happened in the bus lanes in St George’s Place, has caused tailbacks through Valley Gardens.

A passer by said the right hand turn to Lewes Road is partially blocked by a 5a bus and ambulances were at the scene.
