Here’s a sight you don’t see very often – Brighton’s Grand Hotel in complete darkness.
The landmark hotel on Kings Road was hit by a power outage at about 6pm this evening, and is still affected more than four hours later.
In the meantime, guests have been moved to other hotels while the problem is fixed.
General manager Andrew Mosely said at 10.30pm: “There’s been a power outage and we are working to resolve the issue.
“Our guests’ safety is of paramount importance to us so in order to be assured of this we have moved them for the night whilst the power is being restored.”
