A flurry of snow over Sussex was caught by the police helicopter as it passed over the county earlier today.
NPAS Redhill was helping Sussex Police out with jobs which took it over Brighton, Crawley and Horsham.
Whilst working with @sussex_police earlier @ #Brighton, #Horsham and #Crawley got caught in a little bit of snow. PS pic.twitter.com/URUXMMTJf1

At that height it would have been snow but at sea level it was graupel. Its soft hail or ice pellets. Always gets mistaken for snow. Very common in March & April with the showery nature of the those months and the dramatic swings in temperature that often occur in spring.
