Hove woman charged with blackmail after attack on horses in Shoreham
A woman from Hove faces court after being charged with blackmail after six horses had their tails and manes cut in Shoreham.
Kirsty Geoghegan, 24, of Isabel Crescent, Hove, will be brought before magistrates in 11 days’ time, Sussex Police said today (Friday 8 July).
The force said: “A woman has been charged with blackmail after six horses had their tails and manes cut in Shoreham in January this year.
“Kirsty Geoghegan, 24, of Hove, will appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on (Tuesday) 19 July.
“The incident happened sometime overnight from Friday 29 January until Saturday 30 January at Buddy’s Yard, Steyning Road, under the Shoreham Flyover.
“Four of the horses were in a field and two were in a stable. None of the horses were hurt.”
