Brighton & Hove Albion 1 Sheffield Wednesday 1

Albion took the lead through a wonderfully individual Anthony Knockeart goal. The Frenchman beating a host of defenders, then lifted the ball high into the net, from a tight angle.

The main talking point had been the injury to the Owls Jack Hunt caused by Seb Pocognoli. The Albion defender received a caution.

The Wednesday player was stretchered  off with a suspected broken ankle.

Albion looked comfortable until Adam Reach crossed in a harmless looking ball , which Oliver Norwood tried to stab clear , but this deflected off Lewis Dunk’s head and went in past David Stockdale for 1-1

Alex Lavan an Owls fan,  born in West Sussex, will be delighted with his teams lucky goal.
