Officers are growing concerned for the welfare of Jack Winstanley and have issued a public appeal for help in finding him.

Sussex Police said: “Jack Winstanley, 14, was last seen on Tuesday 7 February at 2.45pm in Swanborough Drive, in Whitehawk, but has not returned home.”

Missing persons co-ordinator Vicky Morris said: “We are concerned that Jack failed to return home and would ask anyone who has seen him or who may know of his whereabouts to contact us so that we can make sure he is ok.

“He is white, 5ft 1in, with short mousey brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black North Face jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and blue trainers.”

Anyone who has seen him is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101 or to make an online report at https://sussex.police.uk/contact-us/response-to-appeal quoting serial 967 of 07/02.

I pray this young man is ok – just needed a bit of space – if he comes home safe and well be grateful enough to make sure he doesn’t feel that lost again.
Contact me Jack if you need a friend.

She didn’t say no one else was looking, just that the more people looking the better. He’s a minor and a public alert should go out ASAP so people can be vigilant ?

This boy has just walked past my house, been on the phone to the 101 number, spoke to someone, she transferred me through & after more than 10 minutes I’m still on hold! This is unbelievable! He could have got onto a bus or even further away now! I am totally disgusted in this!
