A wanted former prisoner from Brighton has been arrested by Sussex Police, the force said yesterday (Monday 3 April).
Aaron Barrett, 26, was wanted for recall to prison for breaking the terms of his release licence.
Barrett was jailed for 13 months at Lewes Crown Court in July last year for dangerous driving.
Sussex Police said: “A man wanted for recall to prison has been arrested in Crawley.
“Aaron Barrett was wanted for recall to prison having failed to abide by the terms of his release licence.
“He was arrested in a car park in Crawley town centre at 6.45pm on Friday (31 March) following police inquiries.”
Barrett, who has previously been accused of burglary and violence, was caught driving a Volkswagen Golf dangerously along the seafront in Rottingdean and in the Whitehawk area in June last year.
Previous addresses he has given the court include Hamilton Close, in Portslade, Lower Bevendean Avenue, in Bevendean, and Arundel Road West, in Peacehaven.
