The impossible dream – the sensational rise of Brighton and Hove Albion to the Premier League….

Brighton and Hove Albion 0 Bristol City 1

Albion had a extremely frustrating early evening, as a resilient and had working Bristol City claimed all three points in a match Albion could have  lifted the Football League Championship Trophy.

Josh Brownhill’s goal on 43  minutes separated the teams.

The Seagulls hardly troubling City keeper Frank Fielding during the entire match.

Solly March a second half replacement for Jiri Skalak tried to create some chances as did Steve Sidwell who replaced Beram Kayal .

It was as all to no avail. Some very crest fallen players especially captain Bruno Salter gave an almost muted  lap of honour post match.

The Albion can still become champions by beating Aston Villa next weekend.

The atmosphere in the lower concourses post match was brilliant . With fans cheering , chanting and singing about the Albion taking their place in the Premier League.
