Dogs at Brighton and Hove polling stations

If you’re reading this website, you’re almost certainly going to vote, so we won’t nag you to do that.

But if you have a dog, and a Twitter account, please join in with #dogsatpollingstations, include the words Brighton and Hove, and your pooch will appear below.

The hashtag began during the 2015 general election, continued during the EU referendum and is became so popular the Electoral Commission has officially included it in their election advice.

It said yesterday: “You are welcome to bring your dog along with you to the polling station, but unless they’re a guide dog they may have to be left outside. Follow the hashtag #DogsAtPollingStations on 8 June to see pictures of dogs patiently waiting for their owner to exercise their democratic right.”

Bouncer and I had a splendid stroll. Lest it seem caninely geekish, I should add that we also went along the seafront and stopped in a pub (with more talk).
