Three men wanted for robbery in Brighton

Three men are being hunted by police after a robbery in Brighton which left a 21-year-old man with facial injuries.

The muggers punched and kicked the victim before stealing his wallet, Sussex Police said yesterday (Friday 9 June).

The force said: “Police have released images of three men they would like to identify in relation to a robbery in Brighton.

“At about 5.30am on Saturday 6 May, a local man was approached in Middle Street by three unknown men who proceeded to punch and kick the 21-year-old victim, causing him to sustain facial injuries.

“He was then pushed into nearby Duke’s Lane, where the assault continued outside Oasis retail store. The suspects then fled the scene having stolen the victim’s wallet.

“One of the suspects is described as black, about 6ft tall, of slim build with a short black beard. He wore black jeans and a black jacket, and spoke with an African American accent.

“Another suspect is described as black, about 6ft tall, of muscular build with clean-shaven face. He wore blue jeans and a grey jumper and also spoke with an African American accent.

“Anyone with any information is asked to report it online at https://sussex.police.uk/appealresponse or call 101, quoting serial 1352 of 06/05.

“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.”

Ermmmmm . . . sub-editor- What is an African American accent? They are either have American accents (broken down to regions if necessary) or not. You’re confusing an issue they could be caught on and opening yourselves to abuse from Internet offence seekers. please ammend
