Two men stabbed outside Brighton shopping centre

Two men have been stabbed outside Churchill Square Shopping Centre, in Brighton, this afternoon (Monday 12 June).

Both men suffered puncture wounds which were not believed to be life-threatening.

They were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton, for treatment.

They were stabbed in a fight outside JD Sports at about 4.30pm.

Officers from Sussex Police arrested five men on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH).

A knife was recovered at the scene.

The incident was not terrorism related, police said.

Anyone who saw the fight or who has any information about what happened is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101, quoting serial 990 of 12/06.
