A man has been remanded in custody and charged in connection with an incident in Brighton.
Armed police attended an address in Whitehawk Close shortly after 4am on Monday (19 June), following a report of a disturbance.
A man inside the property initially refused to come out, but eventually engaged with officers after about five hours of negotiations and was arrested.
William Miller, 36, unemployed, of Whitehawk Close, Brighton, is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, affray, being concerned in the production of cannabis, grievous bodily harm with intent and false imprisonment.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before magistrates on Monday 17 July.
A 20-year-old man from Brighton, arrested on suspicion of obstructing police and being concerned in the production of cannabis, has been released under investigation.
