Sussex Police said that officers were concerned for a missing man from Brighton.
The force said: “Police are concerned for the welfare of missing man Jack Jenkins last seen in Brighton on Monday (28 August).
“Jack, 28, who does not have a permanent home in Brighton, normally sleeps in a tent and it is out of character for him to sleep elsewhere.
“He is white, 5ft 11in, of slim build, brown eyes, black short straight hair and stubble.
“Jack was wearing a Nike black hooded tracksuit with a double white stripe down each arm and he has the name Tony tattooed on the right side of his neck.
“It is believed he may have travelled to the Central London area.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police online or call 101 quoting serial 1106 of 28/08.
“In an emergency or if the person is in danger call 999.”
