A 17-year-old boy from Brighton has been arrested more than a month after he skipped bail.

Connor Mackay was described by Sussex Police as one of the most wanted people in the county.

He had been due before magistrates but failed to appear, sparking a police hunt with the offer of a £500 reward.

Today Sussex Police said: “One of Sussex’s most wanted people has been found.

“Connor Mackay was wanted for failing to appear at court charged with theft of a vehicle.

“The 17-year-old, from Brighton, did not turn up for the hearing at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on (Wednesday) 10 January and a warrant for his arrest was subsequently issued.

“He was located at an address in Queen’s Road, Hastings, at about 12.20am on Saturday (10 February).”
