Half time with Hodges – Brighton & Hove Albion 1 Arsenal 1

Albion are level with Gunners, after a lacklustre start from the Seagulls.

There was a huge mix up in the Albion defence after Bernardo dwelt on the ball and Dale Stephens misplaced a pass straight to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

He fired an angled drive past Maty Ryan.

Aubameyang could have had a second after he split the Albion defence but Ryan pulled off an excellent one-handed save.

The Spearhead

Albion’s equaliser came from a searching long ball from Davy Propper which fell kindly for Jurgen Locadia, who calmly took the ball past Bernd Leno to fire into an empty net.

Albion could have had a penalty soon after as Locadia appeared to have been bundled over in the area.

The sides went in at the Amex at half time with honours even.
