A Brighton woman has been arrested on suspicion of drink and drug driving after a crash on the A27 caused rush-hour tailbacks this morning (Monday 15 April).
The crash happened shortly after 6am at the Ashcombe roundabout in Lewes.
Sussex Police said: “A woman has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving, drug driving and driving without insurance after a collision on the A27 at Lewes.
“Police were called to a two-car collision at the Ashcombe roundabout.
“No one was injured.
“A 26-year-old woman from Brighton was arrested. She remains in custody.”
