Rebbecca Cadd's wedding cake

This week, one of the most famous and well-loved shops in Brighton closed its doors for the last time.

Outside the city, Choccywoccydoodah was best known for its reality TV show and the outrageous cakes it made for a whole host of celebrities.

But here in Brighton and Hove, their cakes graced far more special occasions – your weddings, birthdays, christenings.

Here are just a handful of the wonderful cakes we asked readers to send us pictures of (if you want yours included, email jo@brightonandhovenews.org):

Sarah Shaw’s wedding cake
Samantha Kimber wedding cake
Rebbecca Cadd’s wedding cake
Ray Bulloch’s wedding cake
Anneke Finer’s wedding cake

So sad to hear that #choccywoccydoodah has permanently closed in Brighton. They summed up everything that’s creative and cool about this city. And they made us an unforgettable wedding cake. YOU WILL BE MISSED @ChoccyStudio pic.twitter.com/hZORvJpWY7

Great for those that got them, not great for people like me who have to find a new supplier and are £1000 down with 2 weeks to go.
