‘Quadrophenia The Album Live!’ The Mods come back to Brighton for the Bank Holiday!
‘Quadrophenia The Album Live’

The Mods are coming back to Brighton this August Bank Holiday weekend, with a double helping of Quadrophenia to mark the occasion of the film’s 40th anniversary.

Firstly, The Who’s masterpiece rock opera album, ‘Quadrophenia’, has been brought to life and recreated for the theatre stage by international eight-piece band – The Goldhawks, who will be bringing the show to Brighton’s Concorde 2 venue on the seafront on 24 August.

The live performance will then be followed by an amazing after show and end of tour party at the same venue, where stars of the Quadrophenia film –  Phil Daniels (Jimmy) and Trevor Laird (Ferdy) will join The Goldhawks as they host, ‘You’ve Killed Me Scooter!’ club night to mark the 40th anniversary of the film. This promises to be a great end to the tour, with more cast members from the film to be announced.

Both events require separate tickets, both of which are on sale now.

‘You’ve Killed Me Scooter’ will run from 11pm-3am, and tickets will go quickly. Visit HERE. (NB: There will be a discount for ticket holders who have bought a ticket to the ‘Quadrophenia the album Live!’ show beforehand).

‘Quadrophenia the album Live!’ see The Who’s legendary concept album performed in its entirety by The Goldhawks, who deliver a stunning live performance delivery of the album.

From the very first performance of the show, the band have been receiving standing ovations and acclaim for their sensational reproduction of the Who’s original sound.

Appealing to generations both young and old, the show contains exciting, and sometimes heart-wrenching, large-screen projections of archival footage together with sound effects as performed on the album, all of which is supported by stunning lighting to enhance and add to the performance.

This tremendous Mod anthemic album stage performance provides all generations of Who fans, music aficionados both young and old with a chance to see and hear the album performed live in its entirety, together with a few other Who classic numbers thrown in for good measure. A stage performance that’s not to be missed!

Long-standing Who fan Roger Clifford who saw the show in Portsmouth earlier this month, stated, “I have seen the Who 20+ times since 1969 at the Isle of Wight festival and The Goldhawks performance was wonderful. They performed just like the actual Who, absolutely brilliant.”

Another Who fan, Nigel Busch, said, “Great show and a really good night out. The singer sounds very authentic but most bands that try to do Who songs fail miserably because the bassist can’t play like Entwistle. This bassist nailed it he’s excellent! Can’t wait to see this band perform Tommy.”

Ticket information for the Brighton Quadrophenia album show at Concorde 2 on 24th August is available HERE.

The Goldhawks are headed up by lead singer, Doug Freeman, a renowned performing and recording artist in his own right and referred to as the greatest living tribute performer to Roger Daltrey. Doug is joined by professional musician and award-winning bass player, Dan Selway on bass guitar and vocals, together with first class session musician and West End performer, Marco Cape on lead guitar and vocals. The band’s line-up is completed by Steely Thatcher on drums, who has performed across the USA having studied in LA, renowned session musician, Kasjusz Lipkowski on saxophone and keyboards, the show’s musical director, Fabio Parisella on Piano and keyboards, Ivan Williams on guitar and vocals and Colin Jones on horns and percussion.

Upon completion of the Quadrophenia the album Live! Tour, the band will be commencing touring their next Who opera album, Tommy, in the autumn of 2019.

Quadrophenia the album, Live! Is produced by Concept Concerts Ltd.
