Brighton cat slasher suspect rebailed

A man arrested over a spate of cat deaths in Brighton has been rebailed while investigations continue.
The 52-year-old man was first arrested on June 2 after a cat was injured near Trafalgar Street the previous evening.
It later died of what police described as “serious wounds”.
The 52-year-old was then released on police bail until today – and he has now been rebailed until August 21.
