Pip Blom and her band are set to return to Brighton on Thursday 17th October, having performed a buzzing set at The Hideout as part of this May’s Great Escape new music festival.

This time around they will be performing their biggest headline show to date, as they will be rocking up at CHALK LIVE which is the new venue name in town. It’s actually the new guise of The Haunt with its exciting expanded premises.

Pip Blom hails from Amsterdam and the quartet consists of Pip Blom herself on guitar and vocals, with assistance from Tender Blom (guitar/vocals), Darek Mercks (bass) and Gini Cameron (drums).

Pip Blom’s numerous festival appearances and energetic, gripping live shows around the UK and Europe have solidified her as one of 2019’s rising guitar acts. Pip released the excellent debut ten tune album titled ‘Boat’ on 31st May which came out on the forward thinking Heavenly label, which is home to Amber Arcades, Confidence Man, CHAI, Halo Maud, Hatchie, audiobooks and Baxter Dury to name just a few great acts. The Line Of Best Fit said of the album “Uplifting, powerful and sincere, Pip Blom deliver a rich, ocean-inspired debut that is instantly captivating.” (9/10)

Listen to Pip Blom’s material on her Bandcamp page HERE and on her Soundcloud page HERE.

Support for the new Brighton gig will come from Personal Trainer who are also from Amsterdam and make pop rock music. A majority of the information about them is in Dutch, so I’d recommend checking them out on their Bandcamp page, where you can listen (or purchase) their latest single ‘The Lazer / Stormchaser Of The Month’ and their other work.
