A man is due to appear in court today (Thursday 3 October), charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis.
Officers acting on intelligence executed a drugs warrant at a flat in Ditchling Rise, Brighton, about 7.30am on Wednesday 2 October.
This led to the arrest of Kim Wijesuriya, 53, self-employed, of Ditchling Rise, Brighton.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court.
Police said yesterday that explosives were found in the Gerard Street flat and bomb disposal experts were called out although no charges have been brought in relation to the find.
Gerard Street and Ditchling Rise were cordoned off for several hours.
