Just as Brighton was beginning to dry out after Tuesday’s deluge, another weather warning for rain has been issued.
The Met Office put out the yellow be aware warning this morning, to warn of heavy rain from 3pm today across the south of England.
Its Brighton forecast says downpours are expected to hit the city from 9pm.
The warning says: “Outbreaks of rain will become heavy and persistent at times this afternoon and evening before clearing from the west by midnight. Rainfall totals will reach 20 to 30 mm in places with as much as 40 mm in a few spots.”
