Brighton and Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey has signed a new one-year contract worth more than £2 million.
The deal is expected to keep the London-born Ghana international at the Amex Stadium until the end of June next year.
The 24-year-old, a product of Chelsea’s academy, joined the Seagulls in January 2020.
His time with the Seagulls has been badly disrupted by injuries yet he has managed to make 122 appearances for the club.
Albion head coach Fabian Hürzeler said: “We’re delighted Tariq is staying with us.
“He wants to help the team achieve our targets and gives us great options in wide areas.
“We are looking forward to Tariq being part of our journey next season.”
