The Molotovs announce their biggest Brighton concert so far

There really is an increasing buzz going on at the moment with The Molotovs which have naturally filled the missing gap (for those of a certain age) that The Jam vacated back in 1982. The more the word spreads about those that were there during the days of ‘Quadrophenia’ and how much frontman Matt Molotov looks like ‘Ace Face’ (aka Sting), the more fans The Molotovs will gain.

Thankfully the younger generation are beginning to also cotton on how fab The Molotovs actually are! They are rising stars and their 7” vinyl ‘Today’s Gonna Be Our Day’ release made it to No.1 in the UK Vinyl Singles Chart a while back. On 30th January they dropped their debut album, which is titled ‘Wasted On Youth’ and roll on this Friday’s UK Album Charts, as we will find out exactly where this exciting new record has burst into the pop parade!

Matt Molotov is the band’s vocalist and guitarist and he is joined by his sibling Issey Carts on bass and vocals. Completing the live band set-up is the former stixman of sadly missed Brighton punk outfit Noah & The Loners, Noah Riley.

Their live shows are always full on sneering rock & roll affairs that leave the punters truly invigorated as they vacate the venues. The band are certainly no strangers to Brighton, having already thrilled fans at a number of quality grassroots venues throughout the city including Patterns, Green Door Store, and The Prince Albert.

Today, local promoters JOY. have announced that they have booked The Molotovs to play their largest Brighton concert to date. This will be taking place at the Chalk venue in Pool Valley on Saturday 5th September.

Tickets for this concert will go on sale on Friday 6th February at 10am and will be available from HERE and HERE.
