Ben and Jerry’s gives out free ice cream

Ben and Jerry’s new Brighton store is preparing to give away free ice cream cones next week.

The US ice cream giant is dishing out free treats from its UK stores as part of a tradition which started in its first Vermont store in 1979.

In 2023, it gave out one million scoops and wants to top that this year.

To get a free cone, all you need to do is queue up at the Bond Street store. Customers are allowed to go back to claim as many free cones as they like.

Jochanan Senf, Ben and Jerry’s CEO, said: “Free Cone Day is all about our fans. It’s our way of saying thank you with an international moment of togetherness. In 2026, our aim is to go even bigger.

“We want to hand out 1 million and one free scoops of ice cream across the globe to spread a little joy on the best unofficial holiday of the year.”

So everyone that desires to work hard and better themselves should be punished, while those who sit around or choose to work part time get a discount 👍🏻 should be more the opposite, where those who already RECEIVE A BENEFIT should pay equal if not more, while those who pay heavy tax and NI should get there’s free.

That’s right Chris, god forbid a brand owner had a conscience & moral compass. They would do better to be a ghoul like you

You’re basically starting to describe universal basic income, lol.

But which day is ‘free cone day’? ‘Next week’ is not specific enough.

Ben & Jerry’s is owned by Unilever, a British multinational consumer goods company, which acquired the ice cream brand in August 2000
