A driver has been arrested after crashing into another car and smashing it into a brand new parked car.
Sussex Police said: “We received a report of a two-vehicle collision on the corner of Burwash Road and Poynings Drive. Hove, at 11.02pm on Wednesday (8 April).
“A man was arrested on suspicion for driving without due care and attention and without insurance.
“He has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
The driver who was arrested had been at the wheel of a Volkswagen heading up Poynings Drive when he crashed into a black 2-litre Audi A3 Tdi.
The parked car that was damaged in the crash was a red Toyota Corolla Excel that was first registered less than three weeks ago and sells for about £37,000.
Witnesses said that an ambulance attended and that a woman passenger in the VW was assessed at the scene.
A Yeep parcel locker store was also damaged.
