The government minister responsible for border security and asylum has vowed to deport the three asylum-seekers who were convicted by a jury today of raping a woman on Brighton beach.
Labour minister Alex Norris said: “My thoughts are first and foremost with the victim of this appalling crime and with all those who have been affected by it.
“What she endured is deeply disturbing and I commend her bravery in coming forward and reporting these vile individuals.
“I share the public’s outrage in their horrendous actions.
“The perpetrators have now been rightly convicted and justice has been delivered by the courts.
“Once sentencing has taken place, we will move to deport them off British soil.”
A jury at Hove Crown Court was told that Ibrahim Alshafe, a 25-year-old Egyptian, and Abdulla Ahmadi, a 26-year-old Iranian, arrived in Britain on a small boat in June last year, less than four months before they raped their victim.
Karin Al-Danasurt, a 20-year-old Egyptian, crossed the Channel in a boat in October 2024.
All three were living at the Cisswood House hotel, in Sandygate Lane, Lower Beeding, near Horsham, when they took the bus to Brighton on Friday 3 October 2025.
Two of the three defendants were charged with the physical rape and the third man with encouraging what happened by filming it.
Abdulla Amih Ahmadi, most recently of Wistaston Road, Crewe, and Ibrahim Alshafe, of Sandygate Lane, Lower Beeding, each raped the woman twice.
Karin Al-Danasurt, also of Sandygate Lane, Lower Beeding, filmed and encouraged the attack
The Home Office said that the three men had pending decisions on asylum claims, adding: “Foreign nationals who commit crimes should be in no doubt that the law will be enforced and justice delivered.
“All Foreign National Offenders who receive a prison sentence in the UK are referred for deportation at the earliest opportunity.
“Nearly 60,000 people with no right to be here have been removed since July 2024.”

Surly if they have no agreement with Iran, they can be marched across the border from Iraq. Seems more than fair considering the actions they took on our beach.
how about the government agreeing with the countries they come from to deport and sentence there
this offence would get the death penalty in egypt
Deport after a rape
You gave them free legal services
No council tax to pay
Free food
4* hotel
Phone
Free nhs
3 meals a day
Clothing
What has this woman been given?
Bit late now isn’t it?
This is exactly why I will vote Restore Britain.
Utter, disgusting shambles.
Are they even standing in Brighton? And have you read their policies? They are openly against academia, calling them “bogus university degrees.”
They make Reform seem moderate by comparison.
Deliver an Education System That Teaches, Respects, and Celebrates British History and Equips Students with Practical Skills.
A Restore Britain government would encourage and fund youngsters to take up apprenticeships and learn a proper skill instead of some bogus university degree.
It is important that less academically inclined children at school are able to learn life skills that they will actually need in modern society.
End School Holiday Fines
Families should have the freedom to take children on meaningful trips inside term time without being fined by the state, for up to five school days a year.
Parents should be trusted to act in the interests of their own children. Five days a year will not ruin their education, but it will give children irreplaceable life experience that cannot be gained in the classroom.
Many families can only afford holidays in term time. The current system punishes those who work hard but can’t pay school holiday premiums.
It is not the business of the state to micromanage family life.
Restore the University
Britain is home to some of the world’s oldest and most prestigious universities. We should be setting global standards in research and academic excellence – but instead of pursuing truth, our high-culture institutions have been totally captured by anti-British, anti-Western, and anti-white ideological trends such as decolonisation, intersectionality, and critical race theory.
This does not serve the interests of the British public. In fact, it is in academia that so many of the destructive ideas that have come to dominate our culture and political life originate, from gender ideology to multiculturalism.
There is no such thing as a neutral institution – and this goes for education. Our universities should be openly pro-British: proud of our history, proud of our culture, proud of our people.
We should not be afraid of rooting out subversive elements within our education system. Professors and administrative staff pushing anti-British ideology should hold no position in a publicly funded British university. Courses that brainwash students into hating their own culture should be shut down. In the most egregious cases, inquiries pertaining to entire universities must be held.
Yes, that is indeed what is said on their website. Like I said, against academia.
Wonderful stuff
I had a feeling that is where you’d sit politically, right of Reform.
It’s a good move jay .
Hopefully Benjamin one day will find full time employment. Instead of tax payers funding his ability to troll 24/7
Here’s the **most accurate, sourced explanation** of anything related to “Benjamin” in *Brighton & Hove News* and migrants.
—
## 🧾 Key point first (important)
There is **no verified public figure or official named “Benjamin”** (e.g. councillor, MP, spokesperson) who has made a formal statement about migrants in Brighton.
What you *are seeing* online comes from:
➡️ **comment sections under Brighton & Hove News articles**, not official policy or leadership statements.
—
## 🗨️ What “Benjamin” actually said
From Brighton & Hove News comment sections (summarised from multiple articles):
### 1. On blaming migrants for local problems
* He pushed back against claims migrants cause housing issues:
> Blaming a small number of asylum seekers for a citywide housing crisis is misleading
* He argued housing problems are due to:
* rent costs
* evictions
* housing supply
👉 This appears under reporting about asylum seekers in hotels ([Brighton and Hove News][1])
—
### 2. On asylum funding
* He pointed out a factual distinction:
* asylum accommodation is **funded by the UK Home Office**
* not controlled by the local council
👉 Again correcting claims migrants are draining local budgets ([Brighton and Hove News][1])
—
### 3. On immigration debate tone
* He criticised how people discuss immigration:
* said people rely on labels like “lefty liberal” instead of policy discussion
👉 Seen in debates around protests and immigration tensions ([Brighton and Hove News][2])
—
### 4. On wider social issues (pattern of views)
* In other discussions (not migration-specific), he:
* argues against “divisive narratives”
* supports evidence-based debate over emotional claims ([Brighton and Hove News][3])
—
## ⚠️ What this means (important context)
* This “Benjamin” is:
* **not a confirmed public official**
* most likely a **regular commenter or local resident**
* His views:
* lean toward **pro-migrant / anti-blame narrative**
* focus on **structural causes (housing, policy)** rather than immigration itself
—
## 📰 Bigger picture in Brighton
* Brighton council generally positions itself as:
* a **“city of sanctuary”** supporting migrants ([Brighton and Hove News][3])
* The city **continues to house asylum seekers**, including in hotels ([Brighton and Hove News][1])
* But there is:
* strong public disagreement
* heated debate (especially after serious crimes like the beach case)
—
## ✔️ Bottom line
* “Benjamin” is **not an official spokesperson**
* His comments:
* defend migrants from blame
* challenge common claims about housing and costs
* They reflect **one side of a wider, very divided local debate**
