A man from Brighton has died after a van plummeted from the top of a cliff in Peacehaven yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 1 July).
The driver of the van was dead when the emergency services reached him at the foot of the cliffs at about 4.30pm.
Today, Sussex Police said: “Police have identified the man who died as a 38-year-old man, from Brighton.”
An investigation is under way into the circumstances leading up to the man’s death.
It is understood that a file is being prepared for the coroner.
