Do you fancy trying your hand at graffiti artwork or having a go at street dance?  Or perhaps T-shirt printing is more your style or you fancy a laugh at a comedy improvisation workshop?

Taster sessions of all these are more are taking place as part of the Youth Arts Festival this weekend and there are still a few places left, open to young people age 11-18 years old.

The eight different workshops take place on Sunday 25 April at Brighton Youth Centre in Edward Street, Brighton.  Timings are:

11am-12noon

Physical Theatre – games, exercises and techniques to develop theatre skills

Introduction to Rhythm – percussion and digital music sessions

12noon-1pm

Street Dance – circus and performing arts

T-shirt printing and customising

1.30pm-2.30pm

Vocal Workshop – improve singing and learn vocal techniques

Comedy Improvisation – introduction to comedy

2.30pm-3.30pm

Puppetry and Object Theatre – bring puppets and other objects to life

Graffiti on Canvas – create your own graffiti artwork

Julia Box, Youth Arts Development worker said: “This is a great way for our young people to have a go at lots of different activities and find out which they like best.  Please do book a space in advance so that we can be sure that there is space for everyone.”

For more information and to book workshop spaces, call Julia Box 01273 294617 or 07866 685729 email julia.box@brighton-hove.gov.uk.
