A man is believed to have stolen a flatscreen television worth about £850 from a shop in Hove.

Sussex Police arrested a 35-year-man from Brighton on suspicion of theft but he has been released without charge and faces no further action.

Now detectives have issued a CCTV picture of a man who they suspect stole the LG television.

He was described as a stocky white man, about 5ft 10in tall, about 35 to 40 years old, with shaved black hair.

He was wearing sunglasses, a hooped hooded top, blue jeans, white trainers and a grey jacket.

The theft happened at about 7.45pm on Friday 11 May at Curry’s in Old Shoreham Road, Hove.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
