The main glassed entrance was on fire. Staff member told me this afternoon that a sliding glass entry door was forced open and another said the fire was in the barbecue display. Cracks are visible on a glass wall and door that I could see.

Tesco opened a fire exit by the car park that opens to the veg area for customers today. Business as usual. A weird attack.

Regardless of it not being a 24-hour operation, there would likely be staff working all night on re-stocking the shelves , cleaning and dealing with deliveries and paperwork in readiness for opening early the next morning.

While I’ve never worked in retail I’ve a number of friends who do, such as local convenience shop managers, and the hours they put in are off the scale. It’s not just the hours that the shop is open and trading when work is having to be done.

Could be the same boys that vandalised Rockwater. That was 4am Friday
