Three people have been charged after a firearm was shot into a pub in Hove, leaving a man with minor injuries.

Carlos Cassidy, 45, and Memis Kalmis, 43, have been remanded in custody ahead of their next court hearing, charged with possessing a firearm with intent to cause violence at the Poets Corner Ale and Smokehouse in Montgomery Street.

Sade Ward, 40, is also charged with the same offence, but she was remanded on bail during the hearing at Brighton Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Cassidy, formerly known as Martin Bennett, of no fixed address, Kalmis, of Stonery Road, Portslade and Ward, 40, on Montague Street, Brighton will appear at Lewes Crown Court on 13 May.

Native people doing native things. No pic for these outstanding brightonians. Good to see pics of glass stairs being replaced at ikea free publicity. Can argus investigate why the potholes not being filled in and where does the allocated money go.

Incoherency put aside, you can see the details on pothole repairs in the council’s budget meeting on their website. I warn you, it’s several pages, and a lot of words with no pictures.
