Brighton bandstand will be hosting one of the concerts in the National Bandstand Marathon today.
The Sussex Jazz Orchestra will be performing on the historic bandstand between 11am and noon.
Meanwhile, hundreds of walkers are expected to join a two-mile walk along the seafront, starting from Hove Lawns at 11am and finishing at Madeira Drive.
The walk is being organised by Brighton and Hove City Council and Walk England and walkers will be enjoying the music on the bandstand along the way.
The council said that the concert today marks the culmination of a busy summer season for the ornate Victorian bandstand.
Since the Grade II listed bandstand was reopened last year, after an extensive restoration by the city council, it has become a popular venue for a whole range of different events.
In addition to a programme of free summer Sunday concerts, the bandstand has been used for poetry readings, storytelling, salsa dance sessions, a music video, photo shoots and exercise classes.
And the bandstand is becoming an increasingly popular choice for weddings, civil partnership ceremonies and even marriage proposals.
Councillor Mary Mears, the leader of the council, said: “The bandstand is a much-loved local landmark in a fantastic location, right by the beach, and we are delighted it is proving so popular for a huge range of events.
“We hope people will take the opportunity to enjoy this weekend’s concert, which marks the end of the summer programme, and join in the walk along the seafront.”
