The England wicketkeeper and batsman Matt Prior has signed a two-year extension to his contract with Sussex County Cricket Club.
The deal means that he will stay at Hove until the end of the season next year.
The 32 year-old former Brighton College student made his first-class debut for Sussex in 2001 and picked up his county cap in 2003.
He made his England test debut in 2007 against the West Indies at Lord’s and, with 75 test matches under his belt, has become one of England’s most capped wicketkeepers.
Prior has made nearly 13,000 first-class runs in his career with more than 7,500 of those runs having come in Sussex colours.
He has also racked up 18 first-class centuries for his county in 144 matches.
Prior said: “I’m absolutely delighted to sign another contract for Sussex.
“It is an honour to continue to be part of the club where I have spent my professional career and Hove is a very special place to me.
“I am very much looking forward to helping Sussex compete for trophies again this season and I hope to be a part of future success, something I know that everyone connected with the club works very hard for.”

“He not only brings an incredible playing talent but a lot of experience with him every time he wears the Sussex Martlets.”
