Brighton photographer’s wedding picture wins second place in national competition

A Brighton photographer’s shot of a couple kissing at a wedding has won him second place in a national competition.

02 - Dance me till the End of LoveMarcel Grabowski’s picture, Dance Me to the End of Love, was highly praised for its composition shows a young, smiling couple, drawn together in a kiss.

The second annual Love Captured photography contest asked the nation to submit photographs demonstrating what the word ‘love’ means to them. Marcel’s entry fought off competition from more than a thousand entries to feature in the top spots.

The panel, comprised of psychologist Dr. Linda Papadopoulos, editor of Practical Photography Ben Hawkins and managing director of eHarmony Romain Bertrand, judged the images using three main criteria – creativity, quality and charm.

Marcel said: “The picture is a real expression of love and I’m glad with how well it came across to the judges. I was thrilled to be so close to winning the photo competition and I’ll be back next year to hopefully go one better.”

Mr Bertrand said: “We’re very proud to continue the competition for a second year and make a tradition of asking the nation to show us what love means to them. It’s great that many of these photos go beyond romance, showing the beauty of love in all its forms.”

All entries, including Marcel’s submission, can be viewed online here.
