The police helicopter was enlisted to help in the early hours of yesterday morning after a drunk woman was spotted on the tracks near London Road station.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “We were contacted by our colleagues at British Transport Police that a woman was reported to be on the railway track near London Road railway station, Brighton, at 2.10am on Wednesday (7 June).
“We assisted in the search along with the police helicopter which was in the area. An intoxicated woman was found on the track and brought to safety.”
