Two thieves have stolen more than a thousand pounds’ worth of hair dye from businesses in Brighton and Hove.

The pair targeted Brighton Capital Hair, in Crowhurst Road, Brighton, and Hove Capital Hair, on the Sackville Trading Estate, in Sackville Road, Hove.

A CCTV picture of the suspects has been published by Sussex Police as part of a public appeal to trace them.

The force said: “This man and woman are suspected of targeting hair and beauty trade shops in Brighton and Hove and Crawley and stealing hundreds of pounds worth of hair products off the shelves.

“The shoplifters have gone into Brighton Capital Hair, in Crowhurst Road, Brighton, on (Monday) 12 June, Hove Capital Hair on the Sackville Trading Estate, in Hove, and Crawley Capital Hair, in Gatwick Road, Crawley, on (Friday) 16 June and stolen tubes of Wella hair dye worth about £9 each.

“The amount taken each time has been between £500 and £700.

“They have also struck at similar places in Croydon.

“The man is white and described as extremely well built, with brown hair and a beard.

“The woman has brown hair tied back in a ponytail and is smartly dressed.

“Police are keen to speak to the couple in connection with the thefts.

“If you recognise them or have any information about then please report online or ring 101 quoting serial 430 of 16/06.”
