Hove car thief jailed after 130mph chase

Two men have appeared in court charged with drug dealing in Brighton after police found about 750g of cocaine on Wednesday (5 September).

Sussex Police said: “Two men have been arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs after a significant quantity of cocaine was found in Brighton.

“Prevention officers were on patrol in the city centre on Wednesday (5 September) when they saw two occupants of a car acting suspiciously in Spring Gardens.

“They both attempted to run off but were arrested by officers who pursued them on foot.

“One was arrested on suspicion of immigration offences and later on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs after three quarters of a kilo of cocaine was found to have allegedly been in his possession.

“The other man was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

“Armando Picari, 35, and Kudtim Topuzi, 39, both of no fixed address, were charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and money laundering and appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (6 September).

“They were remanded in custody to next appear at crown court on (Thursday) 4 October.”
